Wayne Rooney has once again continued his fine form for DC United after scoring an unbelievable free-kick.
The 32-year-old forward showed shades of his former Manchester United days when he struck the back of the net from 35 yards, with the Toronto FC ‘keeper left helpless by the curve, power and precision of his shot.

Take a bow, sir.
The former England captain’s free-kick in the 18th minute allowed DC to beat Toronto 1-0.
Rooney moved from Everton to DC in the summer and has proved to be a catalyst in the MLS side’s season in the Eastern Conference.
According to some recently released statistics, England and United’s all-time record scorer has won ten of his 17 matches with DC and scored several times for his new club.
Bayern Munich legend Bastian Schweinsteiger, who now plays for Chicago Fire, has praised the impact of his former United teammate in the MLS.
“He’s a huge impact for DC,” he said told Goal.
“I think also it helped them a lot to play in a new stadium. They made some changes as well. They really play well, I like watching them a lot and hope it’s going to be a good game for us.
“He’s a great player.
“For me, he understands the game really well and he’s always a threat for the opponent, and we have to keep an eye on him, definitely. But, also of course they have other players there that are also really good and can decide games.
“I remember once we played with Bayern at United and he made a dive in the last minute because I had a yellow card, and I got a yellow-red card.
“So the first thing I did when I came to United, I thanked him again for that. Off the field, we played golf with each other, that was always fun. We had a good time in Manchester.”
Really happy for Wayne Rooney. Absolutely tearing up MLS and genuinely seems to be enjoying his football again. Deserves the praise he gets in America and to go out on a high. Good for him
