It seems like every couple of hours there’s a juicy update on the ongoing feud between rappers Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly and today is no different.
Just hours after Iggy Azalea got ripped to shreds by the internet after calling Eminem’s diss track towards MGK ‘lazy’, now a new conversation has started regarding the death of MGK’s career.
See, this whole thing started (or at least, restarted) when the Detroit rapper lay into MGK, among many others, in his recently released album, Kamikaze. MGK hit back with diss track ‘Rap Devil’ in which he called Eminem “sober and bored”, adding: “Still can’t cover up the fact the last four albums as bad as your selfie.”
It was only a matter of time that Em would respond with a diss track of his own, which he did yesterday in the shape of ‘Killshot’.
It’s as ruthless as you’d expect, with Em spouting: “Your reply got the crowd yellin’ ‘Oo’ so before you die let’s see who can out-petty who with your corny lines.
“I’m 45 and I’m still out-selling you.”
Who knows where or when this beef will end, but from the way things have been going, it’s likely neither side is finished just yet.
Now the conversation surrounding the battle has been heating up online, many are writing posts with the hashtag RIP MGK – in reference to the 28-year-old rapper’s music career and the eye-wincingly sharp lyrics from Em’s most recent track:
“how you gonna name yourself after a damn gun, and have a man bun”
“but kells the day you put out a hit’s the day diddy admits
That he put the hit out that got pac killed”
“we can all see you’re salty cause young gerald’s balls deep inside of halsey”

On the other side of the coin, there are also tweets rooting for the underdog in this rap story:
To all those RIP MGK tweets, he got 80 mill views on rap devil, and he got even more clout after eminem dedicated a whole song to him. MGK is not dead, he’s risen. Anyone that fails to see that is shortsighted.

Despite the release of ‘Killshot’, MGK’s still fighting strong with a tweet in which he ripped Marshall Mathers for how long it took him to launch the track following ‘Rap Devil’.
Although he might’ve shot himself in the foot (pun fully intended) because this only led to eager tweeters to point out a message he posted back in 2010 singing Eminem’s praises:
Eminem makes me want to quit rapping…fuck, he’s good lol
