Skincare is an art that should be enjoyed says Constance Wu.

The Fresh Off the Boat star is gearing up to hit the big screen with one of the most highly-anticipated film of the summer, Crazy Rich Asians, and her flawless skin will likely be a hot topic among beauty buffs.

But for the actress, maintaining a stellar skincare routine is as much about her complexion as it is about mental wellbeing.

“To me, skincare is a pleasure,” the 36-year-old shared in an interview with the New York Times, adding that splurging on pricey beauty products is a treat to be enjoyed.

“I use La Mer Moisturizing Soft Cream,” she continued. “The first time I heard about La Mer was in middle school, and I read that J.Lo (Jennifer Lopez) used it. I didn’t always use it, but once I started making money, I was like, ‘I can actually afford to treat myself.’”

Other beauty blowouts endorsed by the star include Drunk Elephant’s vitamin C serum and SK-II Facial Treatment Cleansing Oil to remove make-up.

However, she insisted that not all products have to break the bank in order to be luxurious. Other unsung heroes in the starlet’s beauty bag include Neutrogena make-up wipes, and she’s also an ardent supporter of Clearasil face wash.

“After (taking my make-up off), I use the Clearasil face wash,” she revealed. “Seriously. I’ve been using it since I was a teenager.”

In addition, Constance encouraged her fans to be savvy about their beauty routine and head to cosmetics chain Sephora, where free samples are available to trial-run new product.

“I shop at Sephora a lot because they’re really cool about letting you try things out,” she explained. “The Drunk Elephant serum was a recommended product there, so I gave it a go and loved it.”
