Japanese discount retailer Don Don Donki is stocking sex toys at its newly opened Tanjong Pagar outlet, after such products were removed from its first Singapore store last year.
When Yahoo Lifestyle Singapore visited the store at the 100 AM mall on Wednesday (20 June), a range of Tenga brand sex toys was on display in the fitness section.
The sex toys were reportedly removed from the Don Don Donki outlet in Orchard Central following complaints from customers, soon after the store opened in December last year. Don Don Donki subsequently continued selling Tenga products via its online store.
Tenga is a popular Japanese brand of sex toys known for their sleek, minimalist designs that appear unobtrusive on shelf displays.

It is unclear why Tenga products are being displayed at the 100 AM outlet even though they were removed from the Orchard Road store.
Don Don Donki opened its second store in Singapore at 100 AM last Thursday (14 June).
The brand, whose original name in Japan is Don Quijote, had to use a different name in Singapore as there is already a restaurant by that name. The chain sells a wide variety of products at affordable prices, including groceries, electronics and cosmetics, and is popular with Japanese shoppers and tourists in Japan.
