(Source: nextshark.com)

Yeha Leung is a Chinese-American designer who crafts beautifully-made leather lingerie that incorporates bondage and soft feminine tones.

Her unique designs have been worn by fashion forward celebrities such as Rihanna, FKA Twigs, and Cardi B.

She takes orders online through her store, Creepy Yeha, and personally makes all items by hand in New York with her partner, Alejandro.

Unmistakably distinct, her designs consist of leather bras, harnesses, garter belts, chokers, and skirts in juxtaposing pastel colors with dainty features. Each piece is undeniably detailed, carefully constructed with elements that incorporate force and intimacy. In her designs; chains, hooks, straps, and harnesses are sewn in unison with lace, pearls, and jewels.

This lingerie creates an aesthetic of its own, as it marries conflicting forces of brute strength and delicate elegance. Yeha’s pieces look and feel powerful, they are both dramatic but intimate. The trend of pastel bondage in fashion has recently gained unprecedented popularity — perhaps this marriage of juxtapositions reflects the current era of strong femme fatales and rise against gender inequality.

I like the contrast between two things that are or are represented as being opposed or entirely different. The same way I was into Madonna and ballet, I also liked horror movies,” Yeha told in an interview with Dazed.

Her creative designs break the mold and defy the “norm” of what women’s lingerie is supposed to be.

“[As a child,] I didn’t know there were so many restrictions on what you are ‘supposed’ to wear – that idea of female beauty, questioning taboos and discovering defiance have stuck with me ever since,” Yeha explained.

To Yeha, her lingerie is not bondage fetish wear, but is a vehicle of freedom and self-expression. She promotes self empowerment and the idea of owning our looks and sexuality and is inspired by seeing women accomplish their own worlds.

Unfortunately, Yeha is not taking any new orders at the moment due to high demand but will reopen later this summer.
