In a touching gesture, the Duke of Edinburgh went so far as to leave a a spare seat beside him in the chapel for their late mother, Princess Diana.

But it’s not the only way in which Diana has been remembered on the big day.
Meghan’s spring bouquet featured her favourite flowers, Forget-Me-Nots, amongst scented sweet peas and sprigs of myrtle. While Diana’s sister, Lady Jane Spencer, gave a touching reading at the ceremony.
The extract from the King of Solomon read, “My beloved speaks and says to me: ‘Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away; for now the winter is past, the rain is over and gone’.”
She continued: “Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm; for love is as strong as death, passion fierce as the grave.”
