J.D. Power is out with its annual wireless purchase experience study and T-Mobile has topped the charts among the major carriers. J.D. Power also ranked non-contract and value carriers.
Among the major carriers, T-Mobile took the highest rating with 855 points on a 1,000 point scale for the 2018 wireless purchase experience survey. T-Mobile was also the only carrier to receive an “Among the best” rating with a 5/5 JDPower.com Circles.
AT&T came in second with a score of 839 and an “About average” rating with 3/5 JDPower Circles. Verizon also received the “About average” status and a score of 833. Coming in last place among the major US carriers was Sprint with 819 and a 2/5 JDPower Circles rating of “The rest.”
The firm also rated non-contract and value carriers. MetroPCS tops the chart at number one with a score of 858 and an “Among the best” rating. Consumer Cellular won the value carrier category with a score of 866, handily beating Net10 in second place with 831.
The study also found that customer satisfaction was highest when buying wireless devices via smartphone. Check out the full report here.
