On entering, it’s easy to get mesmerised by the brightly lit circular antipasti buffet. The set-up is quite clever: the hostess leads you past the giant wheel of parmesan that’s longing to have a piece shaved onto your plate, and a platter of prosciutto displayed alongside the giant hunk of pig from which it has been recently sliced. Now the real decision had to be made: do we stick with the buffet as our main course, or order
