Get Your First Taste Of Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory’s Famous Cheesecakes And Cookies

November 13, 2017

Another of Japan’s famous confectionary shops, the Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory, has made its way south to open its very first Singapore outlet at Raffles City. Even though it’s been open for about three days at the time of writing this article, it seems like they are following in the footsteps of the other Japanese bakeries by constantly selling out their sweet treats (according to their Facebook).

Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory’s Famous Cookies

The most popular item is of course the Milk Cheese Cookies. Since it can be hard to bring back cheesecakes, tourists often opt to bring these cookies home as a present instead. The most popular one will have to be the Salt & Camembert Cookies, a crisp cookie filled with rich Hokkaido Jersey milk, rare French Guérande Salt and Camembert Cheese for an addictive snack. You can get both sweet and savoury in one bite, so you don’t get sick of either taste easily. For those who prefer heavier cheese, the blue cheese is paired with honey in the Honey & Gorgonzola Cookies.

Middle: Porcini & Gouda Cheese, 10 pieces
Right: Salt & Camembert Cookies, 10 pieces for $12.80, 20 pieces for $24

Here’s another one of the bestsellers – the Strawberry Milk Roll Cake. Japanese strawberries are renowned to be some of the best strawberries around because of their sweetness and juiciness. Filled with milk cream and strawberry cream made with loads of Amaou strawberries and a lick of strawberry jam, the light roll cake makes for a great teatime snack.

Or you might be a die-hard lover of milk and dairy, in which you can go for the Milk Cheesecake, a light and airy cheesecake. Unfortunately, the cake is only sold as a whole cake, but we don’t think you’ll be satisfied with just one slice!

With our hot and humid weather, cookies and cakes might not always be our top snack choice. Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory has also brought their refreshingly delicious ice creams here. Available in two flavours, you can choose to get the classic Hokkaido Jersey Milk soft ice cream, or the Cow Cow Cheese, which is a Gouda & cream cheese ice cream. We aren’t saying anything, but if you like LiHO’s cheese foam milk teas, we think that you’re probably going to love this one. There’s also the Cow Cow Twist, where you can get both flavours for those who want to try both flavours. All ice creams are served in a cup, or you can top up $1 to have it in a cheese-infused waffle cone.
