LONDON (REUTERS/BLOOMBERG) – British Prime Minister Theresa May said on Friday (Sept 15) it was not helpful for people to speculate on any investigation after United States President Donald Trump tweeted that the culprits behind a bombing on a train were in the sights of the police.

Asked about Mr Trumps’ tweet saying that those responsible for the bomb in the Parsons Green Station in west London which injured 22 people were “in the sights of Scotland Yard”, Mrs May said: “I never think it’s helpful for anybody to speculate on what is an ongoing investigation.”

She also said that the police and security services were doing all they could to identify those responsible for the”cowardly attack”.

Another attack in London by a loser terrorist. These are sick and demented people who were in the sights of Scotland Yard. Must be proactive!

Loser terrorists must be dealt with in a much tougher manner. The internet is their main recruitment tool which we must cut off & use better!

Mrs May was speaking in a pooled television interview after chairing a meeting of Britain’s emergency response committee Cobra after the Friday (Sept 15) morning blast.

“Clearly this was a device that was intended to cause serious harm,” said Mrs May.

“The threat of terrorism that we face is severe but by working together we will defeat them.”
