LONDON – Several people have been injured after being hit by a van in London’s Finsbury Park area, British media reports said on Monday (June 19).

According to The Independent newspaper, witnesses said the van veered off the road and drove into a crowd outside the Finsbury Park Mosque, although it was not clear if the crash was deliberate.

Police said officers were called to an incident on Seven Sisters Road at about 12.20am local time and that they were dealing with a “major incident”.

They said there were “a number of casualties” and that one person has been arrested. 

London’s Ambulance Service said they had sent “a number of resources to an incident in Seven Sisters Road”.
