SINGAPORE – A 56-year-old man was trapped in his car after an accident with another vehicle in Kovan on Tuesday (March 21) morning.

The Straits Times understands that the man was turning left at the junction of Aroozoo Avenue and Charlton Road at 8.15am when he collided with another car that was going straight.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force told ST that it dispatched a fire engine, a Red Rhino, a fire bike, two ambulances and a support vehicle to the scene.

The man was trapped in his vehicle, which is shown in photos to be lying on its side. He was subsequently extricated by SCDF and taken conscious to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

ST understands that his injuries are severe.

Police investigations are ongoing.
